As it's 10% made, I can now reveal my mom is making my wedding dress :). Yes, when my mom first suggested that she would like to tailor my wedding dress, I was a little hesitant. When we talked about it, apparently she made the wedding dress for her younger sister, my aunt. I'm the daughter and I didn't know that about my mom. Hehe.

I did have thoughts about renting from the bridal store, but since my mom loves her youngest daughter so much (*smiles) to the point of wanting to do her wedding dress, it conveys a beautiful meaning altogether. I know it's going to be one that has a sentimental value and the meaning behind it goes way beyond of what the dress will look like. Although of course I will monitor the progress. Hehe. But I will never expect something grandeur. Just one that is pleasing to the eyes. See.. I love my mom too. Hehe.

This is the only picture of my fiance in Maldives that I got to see for now. I stole it from his facebook. Hehe. Truth is, we have very limited communication nowadays. Calls can be very expensive. When I texted him, he would be working. When he replied, I would already be sleeping. So, that's it. He hasn't got a new lappy yet since the previous one was damaged. He has to borrow his friend's for now. Yes, we barely communicate. But I'm hanging on. I know it's just for temporary. That's why I'm just so happy to see this pic of him.

Ok, now I'm in the mood for surfing wedding related websites. That's why now you could see quite a few wedding websites and blogs on the left sidebar. I doubt I'm gonna read all of 'em but they might come in handy when I run out of ideas.

Bridal Magazine

I'd been looking for Malaysian bridal magazines since last month. I went to Centrepoint, Warisan Square and 1Borneo but all I could find were those of international bridal magazines. I don't really prefer the international ones cos some of the necessary preparations might differ from that of Malaysians'. Then of all the places, I finally found one at a newsstand in Ranau. Of course when the original price was RM15, they sold it at RM20.50. But I figured heck! I need this. I do have other bridal magazines but they were a few years old.

Signature Weddings magazine January to June 2012 issue

The magazines are distributed in both Malaysia and Singapore. I especially like the Wedding Book. It's where all the tips and planning come in. I read somewhere that planning a wedding can rival a business project. As funny as it sounds, I can never take it for granted.

I haven't really scanned both the magazine and the book. I have only skimmed them (skimming and scanning) :). Quite a lot to digest in one day. So I'll be taking time to read them.

No Where Yet

I can feel that I won't be improving anything in terms of preparations during these few months. Just because it's rather difficult to discuss things with my fiance over the phone. Moreover, I can't really decide on my own. Both of us must reach an agreement.

So, I guess it's just browsing around for me. Truthfully speaking, I am quite worried that we'll only be able to make decisions in June. But I just gotta trust for things to go well. Trusting in the Father most importantly.

Last night was quite funny. I tried to call my honey and it turned out I did not know how to dial an international number. When he called me, the numbers that came out have "+" in front of 'em. So I wasn't sure if I should press the "+" pad or not. Turns out either way, it was wrong. I tried using italk that I just bought cos the rate was cheaper than the normal mobile rates. So I dialed the wrong way and it got into a voicemail. I was just scared that I might be calling some stranger in Maldives. Haha!

So I had to search from the net on how to dial an international number. I know.. I'm like so "kebaruan". Now I know I have to press "00" to replace the "+". What can I say. I never made any international calls before. Even when my sis in the US, she would be the one making the call. Hehe. But at least I learnt something right.

Anyways, not doing much of wedding research today. Although I am planning to go to Kaison later in the evening to look for possible wedding favours and ring pillow.

Also, I got back on the exercise bike today. Yay! That's like a feat for me as it's really difficult to get off this lazy butt to exercise. I mean I'm not the most disciplined person in the world. I just hope I can work out more. Speaking of working out, my body inspiration would be that of Katy Perry in her Last Friday Night mv. I know she has a fabulous body but seeing her in the pink and green outfit made me realised how hot body she has. She just looks lean but curvy at the right places. I mean I envy her tummy!

I know I cannot be model skinny. So Katy's body is just what I'm aiming for. Sigh.... Fingers crossed.

I got my fiance's first call from Maldives. I was just so happy. He said the ocean was really beautiful. Just like what you see on tv. I mean this is Maldives we're talking about. So it comes as no surprise. I thank God he arrived there safely. Hoping he'll do well there.

Today, I just browsed the net looking for pew bows tutorials and flower girls' dresses inspirations. I'm not sure how crafty I can be but who knows some DIY can save some bucks. Still thinking whether to buy or rent or custom-made the flower girls's dresses.

Looking at the long lists to be done can be overwhelming... and I wonder what bridezilla means.

Asked my mom if she had already listed down the name of guests she's inviting and she just smiled. She said it's still a long a way to go. I can be too anxious for things sometimes that it can drive my honey nuts. Hehe. I can be quite a last-minute person. But I don't wanna be that kind of person when it comes to something really important. It's where the perfectionist in me takes over.

Immerse myself

Today my fiance will be making his way to another country. I try not to be sad. After all, he promised for it to be only one year. I sure hope it will be.
I have received a quotation from our chosen wedding reception venue. I will start compiling everything in a folder today. So I guess while he's gone, I could immerse myself in scrutinising the details for our wedding.
